A digital tribute to the first Lumière films, with these references.

  • The movement of the film to the right of the screen.
  • The material of the old film, damaged in the center of the picture.
  • The first dolly, and the close relationship between train and cinema.
  • The presence of the filmmaker in the image, the reflection on the glass.
  • Human beings, in form of shadows, part of the material of the image, such as residues lives printed on film.
  • Colors of the work on the material of the film experimental filmmakers working with found footage.
  • Scratches on the material.

Video installation. These are one-minute videos to be broadcast repeatedly on black surfaces. Work on the sensation of the landscape, the project to transmit an immediate impression. As a mix between Lumière and impressionist paintings ... made of pixels. Four image layers, whose pixels are subtracted from each other, a mostly black image with objects and bodies are revealed when they are shifted from each other : this is the time that makes the image.
