July 10, 2019 from 7:00 p. m. to 9:00 p. m.
Smartphones, applications, drones, metadata cameras have become both media for generalized expression and artistic media for creators to discover! Selfies, Snapchat filters, Instagram stories, extreme videos... these forms of communication are beginning to be known to the public, but there are many other artistic uses for smartphone applications, drones or mettable cameras. On the occasion of the publication of a book dedicated to « Mobiles : artistic and aesthetic challenges » at Les Presses de la Sorbonne Nouvelle, thanks to a workshop organized by the Mobile Camera Club Gallery, this evening will give you the opportunity to discover all the nuances of the encounter between the arts and mobiles, From emoji art to drone art. Works by Benoît Labourdette, the Mouvement Art Mobile, the curations of Mobile Camera Club or the performances of the Galerie Cuissard will be shown in particular inside and on the facade of the Digital Guinguette. And the researchers gathered around the “Mobile and Creation” research group of the Institut de Recherche en Cinéma et Audiovisuel (Université Paris 3-Sorbonne Nouvelle) will propose elements for debate about this new artistic scene in terms of its aesthetic, technical or public challenges.
