Retrospective of short films by Benoît Labourdette.
The Festival Takavoir in Niort, is a “child” of the Pocket Films Festival. I had advised its founder, Guyome Simonnet, before its creation in 2009. In 2013, this is the fourth edition of the festival, which takes place in the National Scene Moulin du Roc in Niort, Saturday, May 18, 2013.
At the request of Takavoir Festival, I made a selection of my recent short films (2012-2013). The program (41 minutes) is shown three times in a “cozy corner”. This is a good setup for a program of experimental movies.
List of the films
- Dead Leaf (8’33, 2012)
- Staff room (2’10, 2012)
- Poster (3’05, 2012)

- H Building (7’11, 2012)

Intentions of the Festival Takavoir
Worn by the Association hORS cHAMPS from Niort, the Takavoir Festival was born in 2009 in the founding idea of ccombining filmmaking and film education.
Enhance the creative potential of everyone through broadcasts and competition, and with a tool that we (almost) all in our possession, is at the heart of our approach.
Today 7 billion mobile phones work in the world: it is in the context of using this popular tool that we defend the idea of image education.
Takavoir Festival is part of a logic of cultural action: emerging filmmakers are involved in this adventure thanks to the efforts of schools in Poitou-Charentes, as well as neighborhood houses and community centers.
Througout its three editions, Takavoir Festival has attracted filmmakers from around the world : Belarus, India, Poland, Hungary, Italy, Great Britain...
After “The Tree”, “Black” and “absurd,” the theme of 2013 is “out of scope”.
