Production of three podcasts to help better qualify projects submitted to the Afnic Foundation.

Supporting the Afnic Foundation

We have been supporting the Afnic Foundation for several years in communicating about the projects they fund, through the production of videos.

Challenges of the Calls for Projects

The calls for projects have very specific criteria, and the Afnic Foundation felt it was necessary to create three detailed oral summaries to help project leaders respond accurately and give themselves the best possible chances of success.

Production Method

The initial idea was to produce three videos. We had planned a day of work at Afnic’s offices to finalize the writing of the scripts and film the interview footage. Writing the scripts took longer than expected, which was a very good thing, as this is the core of the information to be conveyed. We recorded the three scripts but did not film any footage. After some reflection, we realized that the most effective format for these three oral presentations was a podcast, not a video! The nature of the project therefore evolved along the way, in service of the objectives.

Podcasts are MP3 files, as well as video files containing slides, for distribution on both audio and video platforms.

Presentation Text

Digital technology is everywhere in our lives. But how can we make it a tool for solidarity, inclusion, and innovation for all?

Established in 2015, the Afnic Foundation supports initiatives that use digital technology to serve the public good. Thanks to revenue from .fr domain names, it funds solidarity projects across France.

Since its creation, the Afnic Foundation has funded over 600 projects, investing more than €10 million in a wide range of areas: social inclusion, education, health, culture, digital transformation, and much more.

To achieve this, the Afnic Foundation offers two funding mechanisms each year in the form of calls for projects. The first is dedicated to multi-year structural projects, “Digital Technology for a Fairer Society.” The second is dedicated to organizing training and awareness sessions, “Digital Workshops.”

It aims to support innovative, solidarity-driven initiatives rooted in digital and societal challenges, targeting vulnerable and disadvantaged audiences. These projects include the creation of platforms, software, digital applications, community engagement, space development, multimedia cultural initiatives, connected devices, and more.

All the films in « Commissioning films and video content strategies »

We produce commissioned films and their possible projection devices, tailoring the service to the exact requirements. We invent the working methods, often collective, that will enable the project to meet its objectives in the best possible way, in terms of content, budget, and artistic and technical requirements.

A film must meet its objectives, and be part of a well-thought-out video content strategy; so we work with you to establish a precise link between objectives, resources and strategy. In some cases, a “classic” corporate film will be the most appropriate content, while in others, it may be more effective to train people to make short videos on their own, for broadcast on their networks, for example.

We provide technical and artistic skills, as well as strategic consultancy, training and mediation on a small, medium or large scale.
