What’s the point of culture? What is cinema? Will we go back to cultural places? Is it necessary to rethink cultural proposals in order to adapt them? But adapt them to what and how? These are fundamental questions that are being asked today by actors in the cultural field (as in many other fields...). From the beginning of the confinement in March 2020, many initiatives and alternatives at a distance have been invented. The post-confinement cultural practice will, perhaps, be quite different from the one before. In any case, in the transition period, as public cultural places have not yet reopened, it seems important to me to make innovative proposals to the public, i.e. adapted, in form and content, to a new reality.
Culture is a linking factor, it is the essence of social cohesion, and it has even been proven to be an important factor in health. Culture is the common good that we share and that builds us. Post-confinement living culture will undoubtedly be more inclusive, less overwhelming, more inventive, more agile, more cooperative, with public participation once again at the centre of the issues, and with the highest artistic standards. You will find here concrete proposals for post-confinement cultural actions in the audiovisual and digital fields, either experimental or already proven, as well as tools for thinking.
