Creation of the synthesis film of a multidisciplinary artistic intervention carried out in Choisy-le-Roi over a year, within the framework of urban renewal.

As part of the Urban Renewal project in Choisy-le-Roi, several successive actions took place between September 2016 and July 2017. Myriam Drosne and Marie Ann Thrân, two artists from the Paris Concert company, initiated and coordinated this project, “To be here and there at the Navigators” with the aim of allowing the inhabitants to rediscover and reclaim their neighborhood by means of different artistic mediums (plastic arts, installation, photography, cinema). This film summarizes this action.

I also participated in this project as an artist, animating a workshop of realization of films with drone.

Film Production Method

This action on the year was not documented in video, so the elements at my disposal were the productions of the inhabitants: drawings, photos, paintings, audio recordings, and films shot with the drone. I could still do a day of filming in the final performance. And then we decided to animate these productions with a simple voice-over that tells the story of the project.

Finally, this initial constraint of production led us to make a film in which the artistic productions are on the front of the stage, the film becomes all the more sensitive and touching, in my opinion.

Goals of the film

This film participates in the legitimization of the action by inscribing its memory, in an organized and sensitive way. It is complementary to a balance sheet. It can very easily be reappropriated by the actors near or far from the project. In short, it is both a heritage tool and a tool for cultural development strategy.
