Foundations of the project

For several years now, Serge Tisseron and Benoît Labourdette have combined their skills, between psychoanalysis and filmmaking workshops, to organize training courses, internships and practical guidance in the fields of education and social action.

Presentation of the project

By Serge Tisseron.

What is a “Pocket film”? Pocket as a pocket, of course. And film? Not as a film, but as digital, of course. So, from digital in the pocket, everyone has understood that this is a mobile phone. Movies made on mobile phones. But for whom and why? First for yourself, because looking at the world through a screen changes the way you perceive it, and even more so when you have fun telling what you see.

A Pocket movie is a narrative supported by images, and images augmented by narration, alone or in groups. A way of restarting both an empathic look at one’s experiences of the world, and at the perception that others have of it. And sometimes the opportunity to make a fresh start.

This site presents how to transform the phone we have in our pocket into a writing tool, in order to reconnect with the expression of emotions, then with speech. He explains how the creation of Pocket films encourages the development of the various components of empathy and demonstrates the value of training and transmission around these practices.
