Male gaze ? Female gaze? What is the difference? How do images place us in positions of domination or submission? In the lobby of the Garde-Chasse cinema, Benoît Labourdette installs a film studio that will allow you to create cinema scenes to experiment, in a playful, creative way and in all its nuances, what the point of view is.
In partnership with the Garde-Chasse team, I have imagined a new workshop concept, which will be tested on Saturday, October 16, 2021, as part of the 1st edition of the Gisèle Halimi Feminist Film Festival. This festival is proposed by the City of Les Lilas, which, with Madeline Da Silva, deputy mayor, has a strong policy in favor of equality and the fight against discrimination.
- A public filming studio to create with the visitors playful and educational sketches on the question of gender representations.
- Editing and live viewing of the films made.
- Diffusion of the filmed vignettes on the platform “La fabrique numérique aux Lilas” for re-use in the educational and personal framework (sharing on social networks in particular).
- Collection of testimonies.
- Selection of books and mini discussion room around the representations of the world transmitted by the images.
Accessible free of charge without registration from 1:30 pm to 8 pm, free participation time.
