The impression of a pendulum movement gradually transforms the visitor himself into a pendulum.
Hi Benoît,
I like the Vaginophallus video but it needs a little scientific explanation. The Vaginophallus is transgender and allogamous.
It is when it swings that the pistil becomes accessible to pollen and can therefore be pollinated by the camera, which penetrates it at the same time as it is penetrated.
The film bears witness to this collapso-sexual dimension of the image. The camera penetrates the landscape as it is penetrated by light.
Something to ponder before it’s too late.
Fecund day,
Jean-Philippe
A series of contemplative films made as part of an artistic collaboration between Maëlla Mickaëlle, Jean-Philippe Poirée-Ville and Benoît Labourdette.
You have to get lost between a meadow of phragmites and marshes to discover this place offered to the curious. The different facets of this garden inspired these improvised choreographic walks.
This unique garden is a work of art. It’s a natural space that the landscape designer Jean-Philippe Poirée-Ville has built over twenty years, echoing his thoughts on the world being transformed by technology, in connection with the sky rather than the earth. He sees himself as a descendant of the philosopher Paul Virilio, with whom we have each collaborated. Maëlla Mickaëlle is a multi-disciplinary artist who has often danced in Jean-Philippe Poirée-Ville’s gardens. These films are the result of a three-way dance: the place, the body and the musical gaze.
