Launched in February 2025 with the Maison des Pratiques Artistiques Amateurs, the Azimut platform enables amateur artists to make themselves visible, meet each other and share resources. We carried its strategy, design and technical development, with a contributive and sovereign method (free software, open code, built-in documentation); its graphic design, entrusted to an amateur artist herself, keeps evolving. On 25 September 2026 in Tours, within the Passeurs d’images framework, Ciclic Centre-Val de Loire has entrusted us with a training day for professionals who work with young people: “Understanding the images that do violence”. The day distinguishes violent images from images that do violence, starts from the concrete situations experienced by the participants, and continues with the collective design of educational tools — without a normative stance, drawing on the group’s collective intelligence and creativity. On 28 September 2026 we lead a new training day for the Ex Voto à la Lune company, directed by stage director Émilie-Anna Maillet, artist in residence at MC2: Grenoble, national theatre. Since “Kant”, based on Jon Fosse, the company has been combining theatre, new magic, holograms, virtual reality and augmented reality on stage — a line of research begun well before these tools became common in the performing arts. Around its new creation, “Le Voyage de Kristoffer”, supported by France 2030, the company is deploying an immersive journey for school groups: a virtual-reality installation, an augmented-reality labyrinth, and a workshop where children make one-take animated films, which we designed with the company. After a first working day in March, devoted to mediation methodology and to the technical setup, this time we train the team on the finalised equipment, so that they can run the workshop on their own before the first classes. For the sixth year, we provide the artistic direction of the itinerant screening of the War on Screen festival: some thirty students from the cinema option of the Pierre Bayen high school make their own films on a social theme, then design, rehearse and lead a night walk of projections through the streets of Châlons-en-Champagne, at the heart of the festival. The launch meeting of the 2026 edition has just taken place with the teaching team and La Comète; the workshops resume in the autumn, leading to the public night walk during the festival [dates to be confirmed]. The “Immersion VR” digital cultural classroom, carried out with the Erasme laboratory of the Métropole de Lyon, Festivals Connexion and Réseau Canopé, returns for the 2026-2027 school year: several classes across the metropolis discover storytelling in virtual reality and make 360° films together, guided remotely and in person by Benoît Labourdette. On 16 October 2026, within the “Educating the eye: images, media, information” course run by Images en bibliothèques, we lead a half-day module on artificial intelligence in film-education workshops, for a dozen librarians from all over France. The stance of this edition: start by making — each trainee produces a short film with AI on their smartphone, from synopsis to editing — and discuss afterwards, the lived experience becoming the material of critical reflection. “Droit à la parole!” (“The right to speak!”), a documentary film by Benoît Labourdette (65 minutes), produced by Sources Vives, the endowment fund of the École Nouvelle La Source (Meudon), will have its first public screening on 10 November 2026, at 5 pm and 7:30 pm, at the Centre d’Art et de Culture in Meudon. The film immerses itself in the daily life of a school that has practised democratic pedagogy since 1946, from nursery to high school, and was made with a method consistent with its subject: the pupils, cameras in hand, are its co-directors. On 3 and 4 December 2026, the National Pedagogical Days of the CESU (France’s emergency-care teaching centres) will gather 250 trainers at the Pathé cinema in Angers, at the invitation of ANCESU and CESU 49. We have been supporting the pedagogical design of the event since autumn 2025, and Benoît Labourdette will give the opening lecture, “Cinema, mirror and engine of our learning”: what narrative, sound, acting and image do to learning, applied to the teaching of life-saving procedures.
