Video installation in tribute to my late son, as part of the group exhibition “Loop” at the Lyon Particule Gallery (Lyon, France).
Visitors were invited to take pictures of the exhibition and of themselves in the exhibition, which they could share directly with their phone (via a displayed QR code). I proposed and implemented this digital mediation, which worked very well. The photographs that illustrate this article are taken from the visitors’ shots.
Gathered around Laurent Antonczak, five artists make dialogue of animated images in loop, which draw tracks of self-discovery in the meeting of images and sounds in movement. The sharing of the intimate look, on oneself, on one’s daily life, on the memory, personal and collective, which brings us together, often much more than we think.
The diversities of the views of these five artists are complementary and combine to make their works resonate more strongly with our souls.
And in the middle of the images, the bodies of the visitors, illuminated by the images, and then a fax machine, a primitive image-making machine: move around and make images with the images, in front of them, inside them, in shadow form... take photos in the exhibition, and share them here (flash the QR code with your phone), to make common our joys, our laughter, our sorrows or even our most terrible mourning, and thus make a link, make humanity, with the digital that can be the instrument.

Artistic installation, the existence in space and time of artistic forms is crucial because it is the way in which the work is modified by its relation to the spectator.
