A group of high school cinema students, with the support of Benoît Labourdette, organized a traveling screening as part of the 2021 edition of the War On Screen Film Festival in Châlons-en-Champagne.
Film teacher Laurent Gauthier’s students scouted the city to devise an itinerary for the public, then chose films and film extracts on the theme of conflict on screen, rehearsed, prepared the mediation, and finally the animation and screenings themselves, on the festival’s closing night. Some moments were sung, and one of the students even made a very short animated film, which was screened among the films. A poetic, collective, timeless moment that left a lasting impression.
