Digital Tools for Cultural Democracy

We bring together here the agency’s research and development projects on digital tools for cultural democracy. Each page describes a tool or a system under construction: the need it addresses, the real state of the work, from open reflection to a service in operation, and how to take part. These pages are written in the present tense and updated as the work progresses.

One thread runs through these projects: tools built with free and open-source software, with sovereign hosting, whose data can be exported in full and whose traces continue to serve once the process is over. Each one extends work already in service, recounted on this site, and puts cultural rights into practice: every person is recognised there as a bearer and creator of culture.

We design these tools with the people who will use them, in particular during collective intelligence meetings by videoconference. If you would like to take part, or if one of these projects meets a need in your organisation, write to us.
