The Fribourg Declaration analysis tool

Analyse your project through the eight cultural rights of the Fribourg Declaration, and draw from it a working basis for the team.

The Fribourg Declaration analysis tool

We are developing a tool that guides a team through the analysis of its project using the eight rights of the Fribourg Declaration: the project is described, examined right by right, and the tool produces a written synthesis that serves as the basis for the collective work that follows.

The need

The method exists and has been available since 2021: Analyze your project using the Fribourg Declaration. We use it in training and consultancy, and requests from organisations wishing to examine their projects in the light of cultural rights keep growing, as the « Cultural rights » creative writing seminar and the seminar « What pedagogy by and for cultural rights ? » show. A digital tool makes this method usable by a team on its own, and paves the way for deeper forms of support.

Where we stand

At the design stage. Updated: August 2026. The tool is under development; there is no prototype yet. We are exploring two forms, which do not exclude each other: a self-guided web questionnaire, and a tool for workshops that we facilitate with the team. The first experiments will settle the question.

Taking part

We are looking for organisations willing to test the tool on a real project: a cultural venue, a local authority, an association, a network. If your project can serve as a testing ground, or if you would like to take part in the collective intelligence meetings where this tool is being designed, write to us.
