The agency, in a few words

Benoît Labourdette production is a cultural engineering and creation agency founded and directed by Benoît Labourdette, filmmaker, educator, researcher and consultant in cultural innovation and digital strategies.

For thirty years, we have been designing, with local authorities, cultural institutions, schools, companies, social-sector organisations and healthcare settings, participatory artistic and digital projects, support processes, exhibitions, training courses, events, films and dedicated digital tools. Digital technology is at the heart of our practice, not as a technical service, but as an instrument of collective intelligence: tailor-made, sovereign and lasting applications that create bonds between people, equip cooperation and leave traces that build a shared heritage. Cultural democracy is our goal: that everyone, starting with young people, can take part in creation, in speech and in cultural choices, down to our own working methods. Our singularity: projects are always led by an artist’s eye, backed by a serious knowledge of psychological dynamics — each participant’s journey is taken into account, and the quality of the bond between people is held to be the source of the quality of the creation. Artistic practice, digital technology and collective intelligence serve as a common method. And every mission carries within it a shared research practice: at the heart of the project, we document, analyse and think together about what is being lived, and these traces remain with the teams and participants, before becoming resources for others.

This website shares the agency’s offer, the stories of our actions, the resources, methodological and intellectual, arising from this research, as well as a selection of Benoît Labourdette’s films and artistic creations.
